Three new extraordinary openings at the Colosseum:
- III Level, or the third and highest of four tiers of seating, reserved for poor citizens, freed slaves and foreigners in ancient Rome;
- Porta Libitinaria, or the Gate of Death;
- Hypogea, or the gladiatiors tunnel

The Hypogeum of the Colosseum reopened to the public after the winter, with guided tours (limited availability) and upon reservation, to descend into the belly of one the most popular and most visited ancient monument in the world.
The stories about the gladiatorial games, munera et venationes, will become more vivid in the imagination of visitors because they will hear them in the place where the final preparations before the games were really held.
These spaces are preserved as they were in at the end of the fifth century AD, when they were covered.
The tour continues within the monument before climbing to the third level, an extraordinary point of view of the entire auditorium and the valley of the Colosseum. Before reaching the terrace, you will pass through the only preserved tunnel, connecting the second with the third level, which preserves some of the original plasterworks and skylights.
