Description
Via dei Fori Imperiali is a unique promenade from Piazza Venezia to the Colosseum, through the area of the Republican and Imperial Forums, the commercial and political heart of ancient Rome. Along the avenue you can admire the plans made on travertine slabs indicating the expansion of the Roman Empire. The lighting system brings the basilicas, colonnades and temples to life. Directly on Via dei Fori Imperiali is the Passeggiata Rivaldi, restored in 1996, which culminates in a panoramic terrace offering a unique view of ancient Rome. In this area, at the beginning of the seventeenth century, stood a beautiful villa, which in the twentieth century became the headquarters of the Pio Istituto Rivaldi.
