Description

Bike on the Metro
Line A and B/B1
Access with bicycles on metro lines A and B/B1 is allowed:
on weekdays from the start of service until 7am and from 10am to 12pm, then again from 8pm until the end of service;
on Saturdays, public holidays and in August for the whole duration of the service.
Passengers with their bicycles are only allowed on the first carriage in the direction of travel of the train. These wagons are identified with the pictogram of a red bicycle on a white background.
Line C
Access with bicycles on metro C line is allowed:
on weekdays from the start of service until 7am and from 10am to 12pm, then again from 8pm until the end of service;
on Saturdays, public holidays and in August for the whole duration of the service.
In the stations of the Metro C line, bicycles must enter from the turnstiles at the center of the atrium and which are identified by a "bike friendly" symbol, paying particular attention to the closing of the doors (to avoid obstructing the doors and accidental closing of the doors on the bicycle).
To reach the platforms passengers with bicycles must use the elevators and it is necessary that the owners of bicycles comply with any additional instructions given by Atac, directly or through the public address system.
Access on board with bikes is allowed in the central carriages of the train, identified by a sticker affixed on the sliding doors.
Useful info in the metro
For Metrebus subscribers bicycle transportation is free; for non-subscribers, a ticket must be purchased for every bicycle.
Folding bicycles can travel freely every day of the week for the whole duration of the service.
Large groups (with more than 5 bicycles) should report their presence with an advance of at least 24 hours to 06.4695.4037 (Planning Network, Services and Infomobility of Atac SpA) or via e-mail to infomobilita@atac.roma.it, to receive the necessary assistance.
Bikes on the Roma-Lido line
Weekdays:
towards Ostia from the start of service until 12.30 pm and from 8pm until the end of service
towards Rome from the start of service until 7am, from 10:30 am to 1pm and from 4pm until the end of service
On Saturdays, public holidays and in August, passengers can transport their bicycle for the whole duration of service in both directions.

Bus lines 83, 118, 412, 673, 715, 772, 791, 911, 983 and the "festive" lines 120F and 180F are accessible:
on weekdays from the start of service until 7am, from 10am to 12pm and from 8pm until the end of service;
on public holidays and throughout the month of August for the whole duration of the service.
Atac's "Bike Friendly" surface lines are recognizable by the symbol of a red bicycle on a white background, present on the bus stop sign and on Jumbo Trams, accessible.
Access for bicycles is also possible on tram lines, only on Jumbo Tram vehicles with a low floor level, in service on lines 2, 3, 8 and, when available, also on lines 5, 14 and 19. It is possible to get on the Jumbo Trams with a bicycle:
on weekdays from the start of service until 7am, from 10am to 12pm and from 8pm until the end of service;
on public holidays and throughout the month of August for the whole duration of the service.
