Description

The Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Roma Capitale is also taking part in the #laMostrainCasa initiative, part of the #laCulturainCasa project.

One more chance, while staying at home, to listen to the voice of the exhibitions currently on display in the closed museum. From the silence of the museum space, the voice of the curators of the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali will narrate what cannot be seen live, starting with the exhibition La rivoluzione della Visione. Towards the Bauhaus. Moholy-Nagy and his Hungarian contemporaries.

> Watch episode 1

Claudio Crescentini describes the evolution of the Bauhaus as a revolutionary style, through the works of one of its main players, Moholy-Nagy, and the team of other young Hungarian artists who contributed to changing the perspective of art in the 1920s and 1930s in Europe.

> Watch episode 2

Daniela Vasta describes the section dedicated to photographic experimentation: the artist did not consider himself a photographer, but believed that the photogram and photography were equivalent to painting with light, and could be a tool for free experimentation without rules.

> Watch episode 3

Arianna Angelelli explains the section "Budapest in Rome. Hungarian artists in the capital between the two wars", set up with works from the collection of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Roma Capitale and dedicated to Hungarian artists active in the capital between the 1910s and the early 1940s.
