Description

At the beginning of 2000, the Sedes Sapientiae Institute (International Ecclesiastical College) moved into the eighteenth-century Conservatory of San Pasquale Baylon, located in the Trastevere district.

During the restoration works, an archaeological area of great interest was discovered, which allowed a journey through time along an ancient road: insulae later transformed into a rich domus, frescoes and mosaics from the imperial age, the medieval transformation and the construction of the limestone that probably served the construction site of the nearby basilica of Santa Cecilia, make this place particularly interesting and full of charm, allowing the reading of the transformations over time of this area.
