Description
Great Opera Choruses and the most famous arias
During the history of the Opera there have been periods in which the choir has undergone various events, until it almost disappeared during the eighteenth century. Starting from the nineteenth century, however, the choir has gained an interest and a growing importance, up to the most complex forms of polyphony of the twentieth century. In general, most of the Operas of the nineteenth century, in any language, start with a choral scene, in which there are one or more parts of solo.
With this concert we wanted to give the right value to some of the best known and famous choirs of four Italian opera composers, Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini and Mascagni, accompanied by arias sung by soloists and masterfully played by the Rome Symphony Orchestra, offering listeners the chance to appreciate all their beauty.
