Description

Complex from different periods, home to several cultural foundations, a library specialising in stone art and materials, and the University of Marble Workers. The main tower, the main part of the complex, is two-thirds of its original height preserved and, in addition to its Roman base, still shows recognisable signs of architectural techniques from the 13th, 18th and 19th centuries.

After three years of intense and complex restoration work, the Cecchignola Castle has returned to its former glory while maintaining the many architectural features it has taken on over the centuries. The complex is built around two large courtyards made up of the farmhouse, the tower and 19th-century additions. In the outermost courtyard there is a small church with a façade characterised by decorative elements in the Baroque style and inside by neoclassical decorations.
