Description

With more than 80 images, the exhibition shows the important mission of the social enterprise 'Con i Bambini' and focuses on the topic area of social exclusion, marginalisation and school drop-out.

The target is to expose the difficulties and complications, but also the possibilities for renewal and the necessary and possible change of course through experimentation and 'educational alliances' between schools, the third sector, institutions and families.
Supported thanks to the Fondo per il contrasto della povertà educativa minorile, the project has invested many Italian 'cantieri educativi', from the Valli Imagna and Brembana to Favara and Ragusa, visiting the suburbs of large cities and addressing topical issues that have often become real emergencies due to the pandemic and lockdown. The indiscriminate increase of situations related to eating disorders, xenophobia, drug addiction, social isolation with the hikikomori and neet problem, suburban degeneration, and domestic violence has further highlighted the fragility of our society, highlighting that the issue of marginality is not an isolated fact but a complex and stratified social phenomenon that starts early in the lives of too many of our sons and daughters.
The images in the exhibition aim to ignite social interest in these painful teenage issues and unmask their invisibility by spreading the practice of listening and respect.
The exhibition is completed by the docufilm - directed by Arianna Massimi - which recounts the experiences and impressions of the protagonists. In the words of the young people involved in the activities of the projects supported by "Con i Bambini", the new social geographies are also explored through the contributions of prominent figures from the Italian educational and social scene, such as Don Antonio Mazzi, founder of the "Fondazione Exodus" in Milan, Vanessa Pallucchi, vice-president of "Legambiente" and spokesperson for the "Forum Terzo Settore" and Marco Rossi-Doria, president of "Con i Bambini".
