For the occasion of the Way of the Cross three large screens will be placed on Via dei Fori Imperiali (Largo Corrado Ricci, PIT Visitor Center) and large giant screens near the Colosseum ( close to the Arco of Costantitno and Via di San Gregorio)

SATURDAY, APRIL 26
Saturday, March 26 from 21.00 onwards, many churches in the centre will be open all night for a vigil of prayer. For the occasion, the 14 bus lines that serve St. Peter's area and the city centre and the 6 tramway lines will operate a regular weekday schedule. Shuttles departing from the bus parking areas will also be activated. The A and B Metro Lines will make even non-stop service until 4.00 am.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27
The religious ceremony can also be seen on large screens located on Via dei Fori Imperiali and others probably set up in Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza di S. Maria Maggiore. The A and B Metro Lines will run from 4.00 am until 00.30 am. The shuttle bus connection from the parking areas will operate from 4.00 am to 4.00 pm.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The UNITALSI will ensure access to religious rites providing services to people with disabilities calling the toll-free number: 800 062 026 (from Italy only). The service will be available in three points: Sant’Uffizio, Trasportina, Piazza Risorgimento. Exit from buses on Via Porta Cavalleggeri.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
The A. R.E.S. 118 has prepared a specific health plan.

TOILETS
On 26, 27 and 28 April 980 portable toilets (of which 147 for people with disabilities) will be positioned where the largest number of people are expected: the area of St. Peter and via della Conciliazione and adjacent areas, in the city centre next to large screens, in the main places of worship, in the parking areas for buses, train and metro stations and close to medical facilities provided by ARES 118.
11 fixed toilets (Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the Pincio, San Paolo, Castel Sant’Angelo, Città Leonina, Porta Cavalleggeri, piazza Risorgimento, Valle delle Camene, via Zanardelli, San Giovanni/Holy Stairs) will be open all day: Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April from 6.00 to 24.00 and Monday, April 28 from 6.00 to 22.00.

MEETING POINTS
On April 26-28, 2014, there will be three temporary meeting points and welcoming centers located at the Basilica of St. Mary Major; Piazza del Popolo, and Piazza Risorgimento.
The above welcoming centers will be staffed by 25 volunteers and multi-language personnel from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
I PIT or Touristic Information Point will extend their hours until 10:00 p.m. on April 26-27 in the following areas:
PIT Stazione Termini
PIT Via dei Fori Imperiali
PIT Castel S. Angelo
PIT Piazza delle Cinque Lune
The temporary work of PIT there will also be a fixed area of PIT on:
Via Marco Minghetti (at the end of via del Corso)
Via Nazionale (at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni)
Fiumicino Aeroporto (Arrivals at the International Terminal T3)
Ciampino Aeroporto (Luggage area International Arrivals)

First Aid
The emergency hotline, number 118, will effectuate an emergency plan based on the number of people estimated to be attending the events. On April 27, 2014, the following first-aid centers will be active: 1 white code tent, 13 advanced medical points, 5 medical re-animation points, 42 First-Aid Advanced points, 64 Basic Medical points, 81 teams of medical personnel, 5 maternal assistance points, 2 coordination vans, 4 ambulances and 3 crisis units.

PEDESTRIANIZATION OF VIA DEI FORI IMPERIALI
From 18 April at 7.00 pm on May 4, 2014 Via dei Fori Imperiali (Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Colosseo)  will be closed to traffic.
