ZEUSI - linguaggi contemporanei di sempre is a biannual magazine about contemporary art and culture produced by the Fine Arts Academy in Neaples (directed bu Giuseppe Gaeta), edited by its History of Art Institute and published by Gangemi. It is a critic and creative platform open to everybody – art historians, artists, writers, philosophers, journalists and various researchers, who desires to give an esthetic and intellectual profile to our times. The number zero of the magazine was published on December 2014.
The legendary Greek painter Zeusi the name of the new magazine; as the antic myth tells, the grapes he painted cheated also the birds, that tried to peck them: Zeusi symbolizes the power and the mystery of art, of every arts in every time. This is the reality that builds and produces the “contemporary languages ever”, as the subheading of the magazine says.
The number zero of ZEUSI, divided into “Stories”, “Compositions”, “Visions” and “Ideas” sections, includes the texts by the magazine staff and by the editorial staff committee: Monica Torrusio, Andrea Zanella, Rosella Gallo, Gabriella Dalesio, Stefano de Stefano, Viviana Gravano, Giovanna Cassese; then the articles by Gregorio Botta, Antonio Carnevale, Marco Petroni, a short story by Caterina Bonvicini and a poetry by Davide Rondoni, both unpublished.
With the articles, the essays and the short stories of the ZEUSI number zero, there are the photos by Fulvio Ambrosio, Iole Capasso, Marina Cavazza, Adelaide Di Nunzio, Sandro Maddalena, Alice Pavesi Fiori, Lia Pasqualino, Francesca Rao, Alisa Resnik and Luciano Romano. Moreover, the photos by Fabio Donato, with the costumes by Zaira de Vincentiis, who won the award for the best costume designer at Festival Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano 2014.
The magazine will be provides in bookshops, museums, libraries, universities and Fine Arts academies.
