Description
The mid-Republican period from the fourth to the third centuries BC is one of the crucial periods in the history of Rome and Latium, but also one of the least well-known.
Following the initial, and somewhat isolated, synthesis in 1973, which culminated in the exhibition Roma medio repubblicana, two international conferences will now seek to address anew the themes of growth and transformation of the city of Rome and its territory, and to reconstruct the complex and interconnected Latin landscape, from the beginning of the fourth to the end of the third centuries BC; and will analyse the fundamental elements of the interrelationship between Rome and Latium.
