Description
Brennendes Geheimnis, 90 min., Germany 1932, Italian version, directed by Robert Siodmak, with Willi Forst, Hilde Wagener and Alfred Abel
While on holiday in Switzerland, an Austrian baron befriends young Edgar in an attempt to court his mother. When the boy discovers that he has been used, he responds with violence. Based on a tale by Stefan Zweig, this highly sophisticated and intensely psychological melodrama was the last film that Siodmak was to make in Germany before fleeing the Nazis.
