A fugitive on the run, an ex-con and a former cop hatch a sensational plan to rob Paris jeweler. According to director Melville, The Red Circle sports each one of the 19 situations typical in a Noir film. Being a full compendium and a milestone of the genre, the film deeply influenced filmmakers such as Michael Mann, John Woo, Walter Hill and Quentin Tarantino.
