S. EUSEBIO ALL’ESQUILINO There are documents which witness the existenceof the church since the C.V century.It is one of the most ancient churches of Rome. It is believed to be the homeof Sant’Eusebio,rRoman presbyterwho was made became martyrunder Costanzo II. In 1238 it was reconstructed by  Gregorioby Gregorio IXwho added the name S. Vincenzo. The actual look of the church dates back to theeighteenth centuryC.XVIII. The facade, slightly elevated from the ground  after the creation of Piazza Vittorio,presents a portico with five vaults held by pilasters. The interior, restructured in C.XVIIseventeenthcentury by Onofrio Longhi and in 1759 by Nicolò Picconi, has aplan with three naves. The covering vault of the central nave has a fresco byAntonio Mens “Gloria di Sant’ Eusebio”. From the sacristy one may admire , thecloister, attributed to Domenico Fontana (1588), today belonging to the policeforces of the Italian state, can be admired.Italian police force.
