Description
S. VINCENZO DE PAOLI In 1890 the Congregazione delle Suore dellaCarità, founded in 1800 by Giovanna Antida Thouret and recognized by the Frenchgovernment in 1807, obtained the permission to build a Casa Generalizia with a churchannexed. The complex was carried out according to a project by Andrea BusiriVici and completed in 1893. The church was named after S. Vincenzo de’ Paoli whoserule is followed up by the Congregazione. The facade, preceded by a stairwell with adouble flight, is made of bricks and tripartite by travertine pilaster strips. Inthe middle a little portal with columns opens up, surmounted by three windowsand by an inscription reporting the name of Pontiff Leone XIII. The interior encompasses three naves with crossvaults. In the back, the apse embodies windows that are decorated by polychromeglass. The decors and furniture do not have remarkable historico-artisticvalue.
