Description
ViGaMus (VideoGame Museum), the first permanent European videogame museum, is opening in Spring of 2011 in Rome. It is supported by the Center for Videogame Studies and Research of The Italian Association for Multimedia Interactive Works (AIOMI), a structure residing in the same building area, by Zètema Progetto Cultura, under the patronage of the Minister of Youth, of Rome’s Municipality and its Town Council Presidency and Cultural Policies Department, of Confindustria’s Assoknowledge and of the University of Tor Vergata – Faculty of Math, Physics and Natural Science.
Thanks to an exhibit and informational area of one thousand square meters, placed in a very central location of the Italian Capital, the Museum will allow Italian and foreign visitors to explore the history and evolution of the videogame.
