The Museum Shrine of Flags and Relics of the Armed Forces is housed in the Vittoriano or Monument to Victor Emanuel the Second. The Museum keeps the flags of the Armed Forces that were present in the battles starting from the Union of Italy up to our days. In addition to the flags of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, it exhibits also the flags of the Revenue Guard Corps, the State Police, and the Volunteers of Liberty Corps. It also includes large size relics such as Luigi Rizzo’s MAS 15. From the first floor of the Museum the visitor can access the crypt where the Unknown Soldier rests.
