Admission and ticketing
Adults: € 15,00;
Concessions: € 8,00
- Children and young people aged between 6 and 18 years (18 years included);
- Students aged not more than 26 years on presentation of a valid International Student Card, a student identity document or other documentation stating their registration to a university or institution of higher education;
- Universities (Students between 19 and 26 years of age on presentation of a letter of application on headed paper of the university institution with the stamp of the institute and signature of the Headmaster of the faculty or the Rector of the university, pointing out the number of students, of the teachers and of the possible companions). The Reduced Ticket is granted every 10 students to the students, to the teacher or companion; the teacher and companion in excess pay the full fare. Free tickets are not granted;
- Priests and religious (with identify document);
- Pilgrimages on presentation of a request letter on headed paper of the Parish or the Diocese of affiliation. A free ticket is granted for the priest companion of the pilgrimage on preentation ot fhe celebret;
- Primary, Middle and High Schools booking directly and not through an Agency or other institution;
- Employers of all the offices, ministries and organisms of the Holy See or of the Vatican City State and retired people of the same and their relatives (consorts, children, parents, brothers, sisters) on simple identification.
Scholastic reduced ticket: € 4,00
- Primary, Middle and High Schools (except universities) without distinction of places, on presentation of a letter of request on headed paper with the stamp of the institute and signature of the Headmaster, pointing out the number of the students, the teachers and possibile companions; the Scholastic reduced ticket is granted to all students. A free ticket is granted also to a teacher or companion every 10 students. Other teachers or companions in excess pay the full fare.
Free Entrance:
- On the last Sunday of each month;
- World Tourism Day (September 27);
- Children under 6 years of age;
- Directors of museums, ministries, superintendences or governmental organizations assigned to archelogical, artistic, artistic heritage preservation;
- Disabled (with a certification that attests the invalidity of more than 74%) and one companion each;
- Journalists authorized by the Direction of the Museums after clearance from the Press Room of the Holy See, the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, the Foreign Press Association and the "Ordine Nazionale Italiano dei Giornalisti";
- Holders of valid ICOM (International Council of Museums) and ICOMONS (International Council of Monuments and Sites) membership cards;
- Donors of works and patrons: Patrons and Friends of the Vatican Museums;
- University professors (Chairs of Archaeology, Art History, Architecture and Ethnology), professors of academies seated in Rome. Academic Teaching Specialists may give special lectures in particular sections of the Museums on subjects within their specialization by presenting a written request to the Direction of the Museums. The authorization is not valid for a subsequent visit outside those sections. To continue the visit outside those sections it is necessary to buy the entrance ticket.

Vatican Museums and Basilica of Saint Peter - Art and Faith Itinerary
The reservation allows individual visitors to be part of a Vatican Group Tour conducted by an official Vatican Tour Guide. The tour takes the visitor through the most significant cultural and religious areas of the Vatican Museums. The tour follows an itinerary which includes: the Pio Clementino Museum (classical antiquity), the Gallery of the Candelabras, the Gallery of the Geographical Maps and the Tapestry Gallery (Renaissance Art), the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel.

The ticket includes: admission to the Museums, guided tour and rental of audio-guides.
* Children aged between 6 years and 18 years and students aged not more than 26 years are able to purchase the reduced ticket directly at the cash desk on the day of the tour on presentation of a student identity card.
A tour of the Gardens allows the visitor to be part of a group tour conducted by an official Vatican Guide. The tour is unique, as it takes the visitor through 2000 years of history. Besides the natural beauty of the gardens, the Vatican City is rich in monument and precious works of art.

Upon request, during the opening hours the following visits may be organized. For individual visitors or a small group (max 15 persons) the cost of the guided tour is € 250,00 in addition to the full entry price ticket of € 19,00 per person or € 12,00 for the reduced ticket per person.
Upon request, it is possible to organize a visit of the Museums after closing hours (e-mail: visitespeciali.musei@scv.va).
Upon request (e-mail: visiteguidategruppi.musei@scv.va), visits for groups in the following archaelogical areas may be organized: Necropolis of the Via Triumphalis (S. Rosa)* and of the Car Park (Autoparco)* in the Vatican City, excavations of St. John Lateran, below the Basilica of St. John Lateran.
