Description

Built between 1714 and 1724 after the design of Alessandro Specchi (1668-1729) for marquis Livio De Carolis, it was bought in 1750 by the Society of Jesus that rent it to different families. It also housed the embassy of France. The building was then acquired by the Simonetti family and by the Ludovisi Boncompagni. Since 1908 it is owned by the Banca di Roma and its seat. Pio Piacentini enlarged and changed the building for them. The façade looking onto via del Corso has three storeys each with 19 windows and a door surmounted by a balcony supported by four columns.
