Description
The area – where a private bath dating back to the second century AD was discovered– offers a visitor centre along the archaeological walk between the mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and the Villa dei Quintili. The main building, now in restoration, will house the Centro di Documentazione dell’Appia, for students and scholars, and the archive Antonio Cederna, donated by the family to the State for being the lively and active heart of a study centre on the Appia. Guided tours from September, hours to be announced.
