Description

An itinerary that leads through the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill enriched by video projections, lightmapping, narrating voices and new informational media that are the keys to discover and explore:

- painting of ancient Rome and Byzantine, Middle Ages and Renaissance works

- the architecture of the domus and imperial palaces and their transformation through the centuries

- the sculptures and decorations that adorned public, private and religious buildings

The Palatine Museum and the Neronian Cryptoportico can accommodate all Forum Pass SUPER and Full experience ticket- holders. Access to the other sites will be restricted, as they preserve precious paintings and sculptures and cannot contain the high number of visitors who access the Parco archeologico del Colosseo every year.

The project offers the opportunity to discover places hitherto accessible only by guided tour or during temporary exhibitions - as it was necessary to visit Santa Maria Antiqua and the Temple of Romulus -, and for the first time the Loggia Mattei with the Aula Isiaca is open to the public. The houses of Augustus and Livia re-open with new multimedia devices that reveal all the secrets of the extraordinary decorations and pictorial patterns.
